AJE November Component of the Month Design Challenge Reveal
It's already the last day of November! (where has the year gone???) And you know what that means. Another Art Jewelry Elements component of the month design challenge reveal. This month Kristen Stevens made these darling beaded rings for the COM. I used the matte black rings because I wanted to pair them with some dichroic beads I made a while back.
I decided on earrings because I tend to avoid earrings, but that's what always sells the best for me.
I wanted to keep them simple and modern. So I made some super simple ear wires for them out of Argentium sterling silver (which is tarnish resistant), balled up the ends with a torch, then hammered the balls flat and bent them into ear wire shapes. These are ear wires that anyone can make with a bit of wire, a butane torch, and some basic wire working tools.
For the lampwork dangles, I created headpins with the same flattened ball ends.
Make sure you take a look at what others created for the challenge. The list is located at Art Jewelry Elements
Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend! ~Jen
