April Component of the Month-Not so Revealing

amulet jenny davies reazor

For the month of April, Jenny sent each of us an amulet. It just love it. I think it would look amazing with just suspended from a single straight sterling wire with a loop on each end and a cord.

However, I had this brilliant idea of the amulet being a vase of sorts for my headpins. Yeah....that didn't work out so well. Yet. But I'm bound and determined for it to work, I just need to figure out how to get them to stay in AND keep the thing from being too top heavy and to lay correctly. Sigh.

Resin - that would work! Can't wait to see what you do!

Alison Herrington

You'll figure it out!! What about using the holes to make a wire stand of some sort? Post when you figure it out, I'd love to see it!

Ann Schroeder

Great idea; I hope you find a way to make it work. In any case, it was fun to see a close up of the bottom of the amulet. I love them!

Jess Green

Love the idea - hope a little experimentation and play will let you figure it out :)

Lesley Watt

What about balled up wire so you can poke the pins through the gaps...

Marsha Neal Studio

Can't wait to see what you figure out with that beautiful piece!

Niky sayers

The flower on the bottom is adorable and I totally LOVE the idea of filling it with your head pins!!!!

Kristen Stevens

I know you will make it work

That would be SO COOL.
I did one for Marsha once with polymer in the vessel - headpins bent at tip and embedded in polymer. Then cure it and they are secure.
Would that work?
Polymer does like polymer...
