Art Jewelry Elements January Component of the Month Reveal

For the January challenge, the talented mixed media artist Jenny Davies-Reazor created personalized focals for each participant.

These are made with polymer, words from old dictionaries, and resin. Plus layers of paint. And they are just stunning.

She asked us if we had a specific word in mind and I told her to surprise me. Jenny surprised me with the word "create." Perfect!

I wanted something personal for me...a kind of talisman. So I researched gemstones associated with creativity.

What I found:

Citrine: associated with success and good fortune and is believed to enhance mental clarity, cretivity, and willpower.

Amethyst: perceived as a symbol of heavenly awareness and is said to calm and clear the mind.

Labradorite: is a stone that can banish fear and insecurity, fire the imagination, and bring clarity of thought. It is also believed to attract success.

Luckily I love all three of these stones and happened to have some on hand. I included one of each.

I also wanted something to help "remind" me to create. So I cut two pieces of flat bezel wire (I *think* that's what it is. I bought it a LOOOONG time ago and certainly didn't buy it for the purpose of bezeling.) and stamped one with the word every and day. I wanted to emphasize each word rather than put both onto one piece.

Additionally, I included a single lampwork bead. You know, in case I forget what it is I love to create the most and how much I love those little pieces of glass, the feeling of sitting behind a flame and melting glass and creating chemical reactions.

You may have noticed the metal pen nib....I included that to remind me to write. I've let my blog languish. I want to keep a personal journal and learn to make quick chicken scratches sketches.

I haven't decided whether I like the necklace portion yet. I thought that's what I wanted, but seeing it....I don't know. I like the movement of the big hole fresh water pearls and the rhinestone disk things. But it's not really a style I would typically wear.

When I made the charm holder to attach to the bottom holes of the pendant, I was a tad bit...aggressive. I used. 18 gauge half hard wire. There was very little wiggle room in the holes. I didn't really like the look of the wire looping back down towards the charm holder. So I made a coil of wire on the back of each hole to keep it in place.

Here's the cringe worthy part: I hammered them down. As I was hammering (I was trying to hammer gently!) I was thinking to myself...."This is a really bad idea" but I kept at it. And I broke a corner off. I almost cried. But I kept on and finished the piece.

Sorry Jenny. I really hate that I broke my special pendant :( But thank you for the opportunity to work with it. I really love it.

Please go see what everyone else created for this design challenge:

Good day! I could have sworn I've visited your
blog before but after looking at some of the posts I realized it's new to me.

Nonetheless, I'm certainly happy I stumbled upon it and I'll
be book-marking it and checking back frequently!

For one thing it can be done in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
It takes a woman and puts her the most intimate room in the house and shows her
beauty and sexuality. It was a hectic experience (in a good way) that made me feel
like a true Pokemon trainer traversing the depths of the mall, passing the food court, the clothing outlets, the video
game retailers, and even the lingerie stores with those sexy model posters in the windows.

I have to tell you I didnt notice the corner either. What a wonderful reminder for you

It's an remarkable post designed for all the web viewers;
they will obtain advantage from it I am sure.

Oh wow! Jen, you did just what I had actually originally planned to do with mine! It was only a teeny tiny short-lived thought I had before the cuff bracelet idea took hold entirely—so about 5 minutes! This is gorgeous! I love how you combined things that speak to you and inspire you. A very special design indeed—I hope it inspires you to create what you truly love all year long.

Whats up this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use
WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!

Clash of Clans Unlimited Gems

We encountered significant numbers of stage 2 and 3 zombies.
Traversing many cultural barriers this still draws remarks
such as 'I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole' plus 'i'd rather eat wasps'
from socialists, trapped by their infamous history.
If you have low trophies then you are considered bad.

Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic however , I'd figured I'd ask.
Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing
a blog post or vice-versa? My website goes over a lot of the same topics as
yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you happen to be interested feel free to shoot me an email.
I look forward to hearing from you! Wonderful blog by the way!

I think this is one of the most vital information for
me. And i am glad reading your article. But should remark on few general things, The site style is perfect, the articles is really nice :
D. Good job, cheers

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand.

It seems too complex and extremely broad for me.

I'm looking forward for your next post, I'll try to
get the hang of it!

งาน part time

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?

You have ended my 4 day long hunt! God Bless you man. Have a
nice day. Bye

I'm really enjoying the theme/design of your blog.
Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems?

A small number of my blog readers have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but
looks great in Firefox. Do you have any solutions to
help fix this problem?

Howdy, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and
i was just wondering if you get a lot of spam comments?
If so how do you reduce it, any plugin or anything you can advise?
I get so much lately it's driving me insane so any assistance
is very much appreciated.

"Glass Addictions by Jen Cameron" has been included in the A Sunday Drive for this week. Be assured that I hope this helps to point even more new visitors in your direction.

I'm truly enjoying the design and layout of your website.
It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more
enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out
a designer to create your theme? Fantastic work!

Greetings! Very useful advice in this particular article!
It's the little changes that will make the most important changes.
Thanks for sharing!
