The Monster

I had a business related post about business banking, but my photos were horrible. So today, it's total fluff instead. Literally. Because this dog sheds. A LOT.Meet Nim the 1 year old Golden Retriever. She is my husband's "rebound dog". What I mean by this is we had a Golden Retriever named Taylor that was our "firstborn" child. She died the day before Thanksgiving in 2007 at the age of 13. We got Nim June of last year. Nim is short for CumuloNIMbus (as in the cloud-I live with weather fanatics...) Her name should have been MONSTER (funny side story, I call her monster all the time. I once rescued one of those poetry word magnets from her mouth. It was the word "monster" and it now resides on our fridge, chew marks and all) . Although...perhaps with the definition of "a cloud of a class indicative of thunderstorm conditions" Nim may be an appropriate name. I have a definite love/hate relationship with this dog. I took the first three photos with my phone so I could send them to Hubby's phone while he was working and I was dealing with muddy dogs. I also posted them on Facebook to see if anybody wanted to adopt a sweet Golden Retriever. He loved the photos and showed them to his co workers. Apparently her naughtiness is a source of pride...

But then she gives me THIS look, and I couldn't possibly murder give her away. Look at that face. Awwww....She also lays next to my oxygen concentrator when I torch. I have never gotten a photo of it, but should someday.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW...what a face! She is so cute! That is a great picture, she totally posed for you and gave you a big cheezy smile! How long after you took that picture was she up to no good again? :)

Shhh! Here's a secret...she only posed because my son was holding a pretzel rod above my head. hahaha! She never sits still except when sleeping or getting loved on. He naughtiness is never ending. Her newest obsession is stealing pens, chewing them up and releasing the ink all over the carpet. She totally wants to die! haha!

With regard to the photo of Nim "scratching" at the patio door, all I can hear is "Mommy?! Why won't you let me in? Let me in!! Mommy! Puh-leeees?! Please let me in! Why am I still outside? Mommy...?"And the fact that Ethan was holding a pretzel rod over your head is hilarious.I'm so glad you guys are my family now! :)

Jennifer Cameron

We are so glad you are our family too! I had one (big) requirement for Jeff and he managed to fill it ;o)

Aren't dogs just hilarious? She's adorable, Jennifer. Why is it when they're soaked in mud, or skunk spray, or rotten salmon that they choose that time to show you how much they love you?I think she'll eventually grow out of this troublemaker stage. Maybe in about 5 years or so. ;-)
