For: James Dawny Holdings @2015
I noticed right away there were 2 different email addresses, but because he didn’t request any personal banking information or my SS#, I responded to see how far he would take this before there was money involved. There were several emails back and forth and a phone call from ‘James Dawny’ asking if I had received the package and if I had any questions. At the time I had not and then finally he responded twice via email with a tracking # regarding my first assignment. I received the package and it was a Cashier’s Check for $2449.99 with instructions to deposit the funds and to contact him after the check had cleared for further instructions – but no information as to what the assignment was. The cashier’s check was from State Employees Credit Union with a street address but no City, State or Zip Code. I did a search for the bank and there was none listed with that street address. So I ripped up the check and responded to the email saying to not contact me again as he has now been reported. Why would anyone send money to complete strangers without any real information or tax forms?
Its amazing how little we can trust these companies. Had he not sent a fake cashier’s check things could’ve turned out very differently for me. I wanted to believe this was a legitimate company.
My advice– DO YOUR RESEARCH on any online employment!!!. I demand no demands – just awareness!!. Stay away
