Following an email exchange about a car I was selling on Craigslist, the user Larry Boyd sent the following email requesting I send him a VIN report for the vehicle:“I’d suggest you to generate the report on spyusavin.com because they give the most trustful report in my opinion. I don’t want to pay for it because if it’s bad then I will not buy your vehicle and that would be wasting money for me. You could always show it to another interested buyer if our deal falls through. Hope to hear from you soon“I did not click the link, but after searching the company on google the only thing I found was a ScamPulse.com article about this common scam when downloading VIN reports for selling a car. Do not go to this site or attempt to download a VIN from here.
